I need help identifying a fly fishing rod.?
My uncle just gave me a fly fishing rod in a metal tube and i have no clue what type it is. The tube has a cap that says peerless a.a.w. co. newmark n.j. and all the rod says is imperial. i have done some research and i cant find what model rod it is. it is also 7'6", blue and very old
Peerless made rod tubes and fly boxes(they made aluminum products)-they supplied tubes to several rod manufacturers once upon a time and they were also available in many sporting goods stores and catalogs.
Not to sure about the "Imperial" though;Imperial was a brand name used by St. Croix rod company, and they still make that product line today. The first Imperials came out in 1961,according to the St. Croix website.
