I recently brought a Hitachi DZ-MV350A DVD Camcorder from ebay it didn’t come with any software, also the charger I brought I can only charge the battery, hence I cant finalise the disc unless I have a ac charger,which I don’t have, I can link my camcorder to my pc as a external devise and it see’s the file as a format I cant use, is there any way I can copy the file to my PC’s hard drive, and convert the file in a format that media player can play and I can upload to you tube. Preferably a free program, please help. I have had so much luck with my questions in the past. Thanking you in advance. Luv Aidan X you people are fabby how you help each other
Shouldn't need any software - Try it this way
Use a programme such as Ulead VideoStudio - you take the mini-disc out of your camcorder and put it into the DVD tray of your PC making sure it sits centrally in the little depression made for it. You *may* have to 'finalise' the mini DVD your camera manual will tell you how to do that. I realise your saying you can't finalise but it is worth first trying without finalising - but you may just have to find a way of doing it - maybe in some elses camera
Inside VideoStudio you select "Insert DVD" and point the programme at the DVD and follow the prompts and the video is copied from the disc into the timeline of VideoStudio so that you can edit it - add lots of different videos together - add titles/music/narration - and finally output a file of a suitable format to upload to Youtube or burn to a full size DVD to play in a standard player.
