If a glass rod that is rubbed with a plastic dry cleaners bag acquires a certain charge why does the plastic bag have exactly the same amount of opposite charge?
why is a good conductor electricity a good conductor of heat
if electrons were positive and protons negative would coulomb's law be written the same or differently
the five thousand billion billion freely moving electrons in a penny repel one another. why don't they fly out of the penny?
1) because when you rub the plastic on the rod, the electrons from the plastic are rubbed onto the rod making one side charged positive and the other negative but both magnitudes are equal
2) this is not always entirely true but id guess it would be because the electrons in the electricity conductor are able to move and so are able to transfer heat
3) no there would be no change if their actual charge magnitude doesnt change
4) because the electrons are also attracted to the atoms, each atom in neutral in charge so the atoms wont move direction
