How to get a fishing rod in Pokemon Emerald?
Hi!
I have recently started playing Emerald and have found out you can fish.but where do you get the fishing rod...I haven't beat Roxanne the gym leader yet and I really want to find some cool water pokemon,thanks! ?
You earn it off an opponet you face, or so I assume, I wasn't a big fan of Emerald I just play leaf green really, anyway on leaf green you fight several opponets at the docks, when you beat the last one he gives you an old tatty rod. After that you can go around the map and fish. On your travels, the more your pokemon level up and the more gym bosses you beat you get to buy upgraded rods. Also, when looking for water pokemon, first thing's first, get a magikarp, IT IS TERRIBLE. It has no attack, what you do is give that pp sharer thing and just go into fights with whoever you meet and challenges you, fight them loads and eventually magikarg will evolve iny Gyrados!!!!!!
