i need to build a vocal booth out of a wardrobe then lock singers inside?
or im gonna smash the house up and eat next doors dog
ok well maybe not smash the house up but its like thin panels inside it, what will it need to be like for true vocal recording studio quality. ive got top kit to record them will i need to wrap like stuff around the wardrobe to blank out sound levels and have a box like reverb effect? what sort of environment will it need to be for sound? i also wanna get vocalists in and when they come out after singing i'll be sat there naked and ready haha! then take them to bed which i moved right next to the wardrobe! heheh nah but seriously any ideas!? or any singers! hehe how could i transform the wardobe though? it has 2 doors is around 6ft tall 3ft wide 2ft deep.
avoid vocal booth's at all cost unless your doing voice over commercials or radio quality commercial spots. If your trying to record vocals for music, stick to a medium/large room ( ex. 15 x 15 ) and try to avoid windows. If your room has windows you can dampen reflections off walls and windows by hanging up thick blankets/quilts sparingly mostly around windows and doors.
