I am going fly-fishing on the James River. What is a safe stream flow for wading? (James River @ Bent Creek)
When I say stream flow I mean cubic feet per second or (CFS). Right now it is at about 6,000 cfs.
If ya' be referrin' to the James River in VA., I've had friends that have fly fished it for Smalley's (smallmouth bass) and they said it was a, "knock-out" ie., GRRRREAT! As for a safe stream flow, that just boils down to good old common-sense (if I'm interpreting you correctly?)...
